It aims to convey the introspective mood of a late-summer evening, a time filled with calm, mystery, comfort, and quiet self-reflection, when questions about the direction of life naturally arise.
-It is a sleepy lofi compilation, featuring solo singles from a select group of talented artists. Each artist contributes their unique style and sound, resulting in a rich and varied listening experience. The compilation creates a beautiful soundscape through nostalgic, sleepy, and spatial track designed to relax and inspire listeners during late-night hours.

Artistic vision and influences:
-The artists featured on Midnight Void bring their personal styles to the compilation, expressing their emotions authentically through unique styles…soundscapes. Rather than being primarily influenced by others, these established artists showcase their own creative voices.

Story behind the release:
-This project from our label began as a idea to escape the stress of contemporary life, to create sleepy, relaxing, and introspective music that invites listeners to unwind and reflect deeply.
-The first thought that came to mind when we decided we needed to start this project and invite artists to submit releases was this one, taken directly from our creation brief:

“Imagine you are somewhere late in the summer, everything is pleasant around you, no matter where you are, the music will make you forget what is around and you feel like you start floating.”

Recording and production process:
-Each artist produced their track independently in their personal home studios, bringing unique instrumental touches that reflect their individual artistry.
-The compilation follows a specific thematic guideline: a lo-fi sleepy experience that evokes floating through space on a calm, dreamy late-summer night. Tracks average around 2 minutes and 15 seconds, with low BPM and soft drums, sometimes featuring intentional pauses. Subtle glitchy, laser-like effects are used to evoke the feeling of the void, adding an ethereal dimension to the sound.

We’ve decided to publish this album on Bandcamp as a way to generate additional support for promoting the tracks and sustaining the artists involved, as we operate as an independent label.
